Jenni Schroeder-Gold, DVM
Veterinarian
It's Official! Dr Jenni Schroeder, after 18 years at Waller Equine Hospital has made the move across the gravel parking lot to accept a full-time position at Companion Animal Hospital of Waller! Dr. Schroeder grew up in Katy and attended Katy High School where she was active both in soccer and FFA. She worked in both large and small animal practices from the age of 16. She then went on to major in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M while competing on the TAMU Varsity Rifle team and also the Intercollegiate English and Western Equestrian teams. After 3 years of undergrad education she was awarded early acceptance into the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. There she tracked in both large and small animal medicine and surgery. She graduated Cum Laude in the class of 2002 and accepted an internship at Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery then was hired as an associate to work in racetrack practice, medicine, surgery and mobile practice. She returned to the Houston area to be closer to family and accepted a job at Waller Equine Hospital as a referral veterinarian. She practiced 18 years there and towards the end was blessed with 2 children that made the 24/7- 365 lifestyle of an equine referral hospital veterinarian difficult to maintain. She made the decision to focus on companion animal medicine and surgery for better work life balance and decreased injury risk. She has been tuning her small animal surgery skills and is now trained in high volume spay and neuter techniques along with soft tissue surgery, dental, medicine and ultrasound. She was working part time at a few friend's clinics in the area along with CAHW but has decided to make CAHW her home base.
